What I'm Thinking

Sneaky

Countdown until leaving for Canada:
6 days

Things that I have to do before then:
Lots and lots and lots and lots

Things getting in my way:
1)My washing machine broke yesterday. Again. Mid-cycle. Again. With a very loud thump. The man can come fix it, maybe tomorrow, maybe in the afternoon, maybe not. Until then, my nice new blue sheets sit forlornly inside in a puddle of soapy water.

2) I have lost my wallet. Again. Sadly, not with a very loud thump. The worst part of this for me is that I KNOW the last time I had it was inside my flat. And I realized I had lost it before I left my flat again. This leads me to believe that is must be inside the flat, somewhere.

Places I have looked:
In/under the couch
In my underwear drawer
In my laundry bin
Behind the loose skirting board in the kitchen
In the fridge and freezer
Inside and on top of every single cupboard, also inside the cups and bowls and Tupperware
Through the whole garbage can - yes, I hunted through that puppy!
Through every bag and piece of clothing I own
Behind my bookshelf and behind each individual book

Random Recent News Story That This Relates To:
Apparently, a girl was wedged behind the bookcase in her room, quite dead, for 11 days, while her poor frantic family searched everywhere for her, thinking she had been kidnapped. It appears she had been trying to adjust the TV plug, fell behind and got stuck.

Two Best Ever Quotes From This News Story, Courtesy of BBC Website
"The family told the newspaper that they had noticed a strange smell coming from the room, but blamed it on rats"

"Her death was eventually discovered when her sister noticed a foot protruding from behind the bookcase. 'I'm sleeping in the same house as her for 11 days, looking for her. And all the time she was right there in the bedroom', said her mother"

What I Have Decided
I love my wallet, and even more so the little plastic cards it contains that buy me things. But if it is stuck behind the bookcase, I think it can stay there.

Final Thought
I didn't know rats had a smell

Ah, poor Lindsay. Seriously sucks to lose your wallet, been there, done that. However, have always found it again. The best thing is, you can call and cancel everything. Bad news, you pay for some things to be replaced. Boo!
So 6 more days, wow that is amazing. Must feel so nice to be done, and know that you are leaving to a whole new world of adventure. I am sad however that we won't get to share some good laughs and chats over the holiday season. We both miss you so very much!

Linds, this is Holls and Aims, yup it's true she's on the phone with me now. We're crying 'cause we will miss each other by a few days at Christmas. I also said how sad it is that T&L won't be there either and how they always arrange stuff and now I feel like I won't see anyone because of that. And Michelle is off on the other side of the world. SO you and I and Jessemater have to make a point of getting together, k? Amy is making fun of me 'cause I'm so boring ha! She just said Cock. K girls put on your ear muffs, take that as you want to. This is a highly unacceptable comment, delete it if you wish. Oh and yes the whole point of it is to find out how long you will be in Calgary for? Amy will be getting there the 30th. Talk to you later!
